Juan Nagel received a M.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan, and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics there. His dissertation deals with the de-regulation of electricity markets. He has done antitrust consulting work at ApplEcon for the cable, wireless, medical equipment, sporting goods, software, and memory chips industries. Prior to coming to Michigan, he worked as an economist for the Venezuelan government's antitrust agency. He has also done consulting work for the Andean Development Bank, and currently teaches economics at the Universidad de los Andes in Santiago, Chile.
